Let's start with this.

A mystery taking place in the Colorado Rockies, modern day. You decide what kind of mystery ~ murder mystery, spy mystery, kidnapping, hijacking, terrorist plot...

Submit your ideas for a TITLE as well, or a prologue, or character backstories, etc.

I guess that's enough for now. Feel free to ask questions if you need to.

  1. Okay, here goes. Tell me what you think. This is loosely based on what is happening to a friend of mine.
    Love, Judy (and Clark)

In a small town in Colorado, at the base of the Rocky Mountains along a ridge known as the Hogback, Mirelda was sitting in the tiny emergency room of the only hospital within miles. Unlike an ER in the larger towns, this one did not have the hustle and bustle of doctors and nurses running here and there trying to tend to the most serious cases first. The halls were quiet where she was the only person sitting in the waiting room. In this quiet she could only hear the thoughts screaming in her head. How had things come to this? What had she done so wrong in raising her oldest son that he had done this to himself? Oh, God, please the first time he tried this You stopped the bullet. Why not this time? Children are not supposed to die before their parents. The voices were screaming, she just did not think she could go on if anything happened to him. He was her pride and joy, yet he was so very angry and unhappy she ached inside. She felt like someone was crushing her heart in their hands. It felt like she was slowly having the life squeezed from her. Oh, Abba, Father, help me--give me strength to face this mountain. She looked out the window and saw the majesty of the mountains He had created and she seemed so small. How could God hear this small voice crying out to Him? Yet somehow she knew He was there listening and holding her close.

It is yours from here on out! Keep me posted as it develops.
